Who we are

A pool service that answers its own phone.

Billy’s Pools is owned and run by Billy Clarke. When you call, you get Billy. When the service happens, it is Billy standing at your pool. When something needs fixing, Billy is the one who tells you what it will cost. There is no account manager in the middle and nobody has to be brought up to speed on your pool.

The business has been running in Canberra since 2022 and has grown almost entirely on word of mouth, which is a nice way of saying our customers keep sending us their neighbours. This website is the first time we have properly put what we do in one place.

You are not getting a rotating roster. Billy Clarke owns the business and does the work himself, so the person who knows your pool is the person standing next to it.

You get a written summary of what was tested, what was dosed and anything that needs watching. No wondering whether anyone actually turned up.

Honest about repairs

We would rather keep your pool healthy than sell you equipment. If something can be nursed along, we will say so. If it is done, we will say that too.

How we work

Do the job, write it down, tell you the truth.

Every service ends the same way: the readings, what was dosed, what was cleaned and anything that needs watching, sent to you in an email. It takes an extra few minutes and it means you are never guessing whether the pool was actually looked at.

We also say no. We do not build pools, we do not take on full refurbishments, and we will not sell you equipment your pool does not need. There is more than enough honest servicing work in Canberra without any of that.

We are a pool servicing business, not a pool builder. We do not take on new pool construction or full pool refurbishments, and we will tell you straight away if that is what your job needs, rather than wasting your time. What we do is keep existing pools clean, balanced, inspected and running.
